Yusuf Buttar is an employment and civil rights attorney focusing on discrimination and retaliation litigation under Title VII, Section 1981, Texas Health & Safety Code, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Yusuf earned his Honors Bachelor of Environmental Studies from York University before graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Juris Doctor. He moved to Dallas in 2022, bringing his unique cross-border legal perspective to Texas.
During law school, Yusuf developed a focus in workplace discrimination through a year-long anti-discrimination intensive and a human rights legal clinic. He gained additional litigation experience in the Attorney General’s civil litigation department. Before starting his own firm, he practiced with prominent employment and human rights litigation firms under the mentorship of respected trial attorneys.
Yusuf advocates for clients facing workplace discrimination, guiding their cases from initial filing through trial. His commitment to justice and serving with excellence drives his practice, working to remedy the wrongs done to his clients and restore dignity.
Outside the courtroom, Yusuf enjoys golf and dedicates time to scholarly pursuits, spiritual development, and personal growth.
